| I'm a core member of The Comedy Project. Theatre work has ranged from a run at the Gielgud in DAISY PULLS IT OFF to a couple of years on the stand-up comedy circuit. I've also performed at repertory theatres all over the country, my favourite turn being Alan Ayckbourn's INTIMATE EXCHANGES at West Yorkshire Playhouse, and at lots of London Fringe theatres, where I’ve particularly enjoyed LOVE BITES at the ICA and Ben Jonson's THE ALCHEMIST at Riverside Studios. Television work includes THE LEGACY OF REGINALD PERRIN, THIS COULD BE THE LAST TIME, CABARET AT THE JONGLEURS, ELLA AND THE MOTHERS and MY FAMILY (all BBC), MITCH for LWT and ROUGH TREATMENT for ITV. My first play - JUST FOR YOU - was showcased by Tim Pigott-Smith and Stephanie Jacob. JUBILATE! - my play about a smug vicar's wife - won two Gold Standard awards at the Henley Fringe Festival, as did my internet dating play LOL. I've also co-written 2 full-length stage plays - with Carolyn Pertwee BETWEEN FRIENDS and with Lea Sellers HOLY FOOL, a stage play about Dmitri Shostakovich, which had a staged reading in 2011 with Simon Russell Beale in the lead, directed by Philip Franks. A short play ALL MEN ARE was chosen as part of last year's Off Cut Festival at Riverside Studios in London. My first screenplay PERFECT - featuring MAUREEN BEATTIE and RUTHIE HENSHALL - was showcased at The Actors' Church in Covent Garden in 2009. With Lea Sellers I'm writing SISTERS, a 6-part drama series for television. The first episode of my new TV sitcom BABY BOOMERS was showcased at the Soho Theatre in March 2010. I was in OFFICE PARTY - an extravaganza at Pleasance London, directed by and starring Christopher Green and Ursula Martinez, which ran from October to December 2011. |
